Michelle Watts - It's Simple with Stencils
What do you get when you combine quilting and Paintstiks? You get a wonderful new quilting technique that is easy and fun. Come let me teach you an exciting new way to make unique, one-of-a-kind, original wholecloth quilts, quilt blocks and even miniature quilts. We will talk about embellishments and quilting. Students will learn the tricks for creating elaborate original design stencils. Explore the design elements, mix and match different designs for the prefect project. Experiment with colors and adding textures.
Cancellation Policy
Thank you for signing up for a class at Fiberworx Fabric Studio. To be respectful of our teachers the following cancellation policy will be strictly adhered to.
- In the event that you are unable to attend the class and it is more than 7 days before the class, you can receive a full refund of the class cost.
- If you must cancel between 7 and 3 days prior to class date you will receive a Full Credit towards another class.
- If you cancel less than 3 days prior to class, your class fee is 100% forfeited. Transfer to another class is not available with less than a 3-day cancellation.

| Requirements: | Pencil Sharp paper scissors (small and large scissors) Freezer paper 2 - light color fabric fat quarters - PRE-WASHED! (Cut 16 - 3.5 in squares from one of the fat quarters and bring leftover piece and the other fat quarter) Students will be able to utilize Michelle Watts' brushes and paints during class. Additional supplies will be available for purchase from Michelle Watts. NOTE: pre-washed fabric is a very important part of this process. You are not limited to solid fabric. Fabrics with texture and even white on white printed fabrics and batiks have wonderful results. I do suggest you work on a light background in class, but feel free to bring a dark background square to experiment with. |
